 Over the years we have taken a number of rescued or neglected tortoises and now offer them a second chance of a better life. 

Like many other animal, bird or invertebrate species, Tortoises are threatened with Extinction. With Climate change, the destruction of their natural habitats by man as well as continued illegal collections of wild specimens for the pet trade, numbers of tortoises are rapidly declining. The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) predicts that many will become extinct within the next 20 – 40 years. To that effect, a number of species are already extinct due to the overcollection from the wild. It is, therefore, of vital importance that we act now to stop these beautiful ancient reptiles from disappearing forever.
